Low Carb Dessert Recipes

In order for most people to be successful with a low carb diet, it is good to have some good low carb dessert recipes on hand. To be honest, I would try to just quit the dessert habit altogether if you can, if you are serious about losing weight. But sometimes you'll go crazy if you can't have something a little sweet and creamy. Here are a couple of recipes that should work well for you.


Low Carb Dessert Recipes #1: Walnut Blueberries with Cream


Low Carb Dessert Ingredients

1/2 cup blueberries
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 TBSP finely chopped walnuts (2-3 walnut halves)

Low Carb Dessert Instructions

Chop walnuts. Put berries in a bowl. If they are frozen, you may wish to thaw them a bit. My son likes them frozen. I need them thawed a little. 30 seconds in the microwave should be good. Pour the cream over the berries, and sprinkle the walnuts on top. Enjoy!


Low Carb Dessert Recipes #2: Almost Rice Pudding


Low Carb Dessert Ingredients

3 eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup water
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup splenda
1 tsp vanilla extract
cinnamon

Low Carb Desserts Instructions

Combine all imgredients in blender until almost smooth.

Pour into 6, 6oz -175ml custard cups. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Place in a baking pan. Pour hot water in pan to reach 1" -25mm up sides of custard cups.

Bake at 350 F or 180 C for 35 minutes.

Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 171 Calories; 14g Fat (73.7% calories from fat); 9g Protein; 3g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 137mg Cholesterol; 193mg Sodium.

Try one of these low carb dessert recipes. You're bound to like one of them. But if you find you like them too much, you might want to limit the amount you eat. There are dessert recipes (especially those using nutrasweet for a sweetener, that I have found actually sabbotage my diet goals)
